Veterinary Medical Director – San Diego CA

An established small animal practice is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its supportive and collaborative medical team. This opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian who values high-quality patient care, strong client relationships, and a positive team environment. Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostics, treatment planning, and surgical procedures
  • Guide and support clinical team members through mentorship and leadership
  • Oversee quality of care and patient outcomes
  • Support staff development, training, and performance
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Build strong client relationships through clear communication and education

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an accredited institution
  • Active veterinary license in good standing (or eligibility)
  • 3+ years of clinical experience (leadership experience preferred)
  • Strong clinical, surgical, and diagnostic skills
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
