Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated, energetic, and professional Medical Assistant to join our team at Trusted Hands Internal Medicine. This is a temporary position with the opportunity to transition to full-time employment. The ideal candidate will help deliver friendly, compassionate care to our diverse patient population across our two office locations in San Bernardino and Fontana. We are looking for a patient-focused individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for healthcare. You will be given ample time for learning and growth, as well as the chance to expand your skills in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Patient Intake: Collect medical history, verify insurance information, and update electronic health records (EHR) as appropriate
• Vital Signs: Measure blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision and professionalism.
• Clinical Tasks: Assist with medication administration, specimen collection, EKGs, drawing blood, and preparing patients for exams
• Clinic Organization: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.
• Patient Care: Provide exceptional service by addressing patient questions, offering reassurance, and ensuring a positive experience.
• Administrative Support: Assist with appointment scheduling, follow-up communications, patient outreach, and other clerical duties as needed.
• Multitasking & Professionalism: Maintain a hardworking, honest, and professional demeanor while managing multiple tasks.
• Compliance: Adhere to healthcare regulations, privacy laws (HIPAA), and safety protocols.
• Additional: Assist with additional duties as assigned by the clinic supervisor.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience as a medical assistant or in a clinical environment is a plus, but not required.
• Insurance Knowledge: Familiarity with basic insurance plans (PPO, HMO, IPA) is a plus.

Position Requirements:

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: Medical Assistant Certificate. CPR/BLS Certification.
• Bilingual: Proficiency in both Spanish and English is required.

Work Location and Schedule:

• Work Location: In-person, with the ability to travel between both office locations in San Bernardino and Fontana on needed basis based on clinic needs.
• Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5pm, Friday 8:30-12:00pm
