Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team, providing high-quality patient care across diverse medical settings. In this role, you will collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans. Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations, patient assessments, and vital sign monitoring to gather critical health information.
- Assist in diagnostic evaluation processes, including ordering and interpreting medical imaging, laboratory tests, and diagnostic procedures such as spinal taps or catheterizations.
- Administer medications and injections, including botulinum toxin treatments and other specialized therapies, following aseptic techniques.
- Manage acute pain cases, ventilator support, airway management, and critical care interventions within hospital environments such as ICU or Level I/II trauma centers.
- Document patient encounters accurately using EMR systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks; ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
- Participate in clinical research studies and clinical trials to advance medical knowledge and improve patient care strategies.
- Support discharge planning, post-acute care coordination, hospice & palliative medicine services, and health coaching initiatives to promote holistic patient well-being.
Qualifications
- Valid Physician Assistant certification with current state licensure; experience in hospital medicine or emergency medicine preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner; familiarity with ICD-9/10 coding and CPT coding for billing purposes.
- Critical care experience including ICU or neonatal ventilator management; Level I/II trauma center experience highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
- Proven ability to perform physical examinations, suturing, phlebotomy, and aseptic procedures confidently.
- Experience with telehealth platforms and remote patient monitoring tools is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for triage assessments, patient education, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
