About the Practice
Mohammad S. Ghalichi, M.D., A Professional Corporation is a small, private, concierge preventive cardiology, lipidology, and longevity medicine practice in Los Angeles, affiliated with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. We care for a limited number of members through extended appointments, comprehensive cardiovascular risk assessment, advanced lipid management, and close follow-up. We do not bill insurance.
What This Job Is (and Is Not)
This is a slower-paced role by design. Our patient volume is intentionally low, and the day is built around careful, detailed work rather than back-to-back visits. A typical day involves refilling and prescribing medications, completing prior authorizations, ordering and reviewing labs and imaging, communicating results to patients, and documenting visits alongside Dr. Ghalichi. There are days with no patients scheduled.
This role is a good fit for a Physician Assistant who values a calm, well-organized environment, takes pride in thorough documentation and follow-through, and wants to learn preventive cardiology and lipidology in depth from a board-certified cardiologist. It is not a good fit for someone looking for a high-volume clinic or immediate independent practice.
In-Person Presence
Dr. Ghalichi travels and may be out of the office for entire weeks at a time. You are expected to be on site during clinic hours every week, including days when no patients are scheduled, so that refills, prior authorizations, results, and patient questions are handled the same day. Remote or hybrid work is not offered.
Path to Independent Patient Visits
For at least the first four months you will work directly with Dr. Ghalichi with on-the-job training in the practice’s protocols and patient population. After that period, and once the practice determines you are ready, you may begin seeing select patients independently under a written Practice Agreement. Concierge patients continue to be seen primarily with or by Dr. Ghalichi.
Patient Privacy
Patient privacy is of the utmost importance. Our patients expect complete discretion, and confidentiality beyond HIPAA is a condition of employment. Photography, recording, and any discussion of patients or the practice on social media or in public are prohibited.
Essential Responsibilities
– Manage prescription refills and prescribe new medications within the scope of the written Practice Agreement and California law, exercising independent clinical judgment.
– Complete prior authorization requests for cardiovascular and metabolic medications, including GLP-1 receptor agonists, PCSK9 inhibitors (e.g., Repatha), inclisiran, and related specialty agents.
– Order laboratory studies, including advanced lipid panels, and imaging (cardiac CT, coronary artery calcium scoring, echocardiography, stress imaging, vascular studies); coordinate scheduling and review results.
– Communicate results and treatment plans to patients by phone and secure messaging.
– Document clinical encounters (history, physical examination, assessment, and plan) during visits with Dr. Ghalichi.
– Coordinate care with outside specialists and Cedars-Sinai; support inbox management and clinic operations.
– Provide evidence-based patient education on cardiovascular risk reduction, medication adherence, and lifestyle change.
Required Qualifications
– Active and unrestricted California Physician Assistant license.
– Current NCCPA certification (PA-C).
– Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
– Willingness to execute a written Practice Agreement, Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement, and Mutual Arbitration Agreement.
– Eligibility to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
– Clinical experience in cardiology, internal medicine, endocrinology, lipidology, or primary care.
– Familiarity with prior-authorization workflows for specialty cardiovascular and metabolic medications (CoverMyMeds or similar).
– Prior experience in a private, concierge, or direct-pay setting.
– Proficiency with electronic health records.
Compensation and Benefits
– $110,000 per year, full-time, exempt.

Schedule and Work Setting
Generally Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. No evenings, weekends, or on-call. Outpatient private practice, in person, Los Angeles, CA 90048.
