Private Gastroenterology practice in downtown Los Angeles is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for a full-time position. The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner will be working with 1 physician in an office setting Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. The applicant must have excellent communication skills and moderate fluency in Spanish is required. New graduates are welcome and strongly urged to apply as well. We provide a very supportive environment and offer training and close supervision. Our Physician Assistants work very closely with their supervising doctor. The position is a salaried position with compensation commiserate to the title (PA vs RN) and experience with benefits including healthcare, malpractice insurance coverage, and CME stipend.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Independently obtain relevant health and medical history.
- Perform physical examination based on age and history.
- Order preventive and diagnostic procedures based on the patient’s age and history.
- Helps the physician provide screening, consultation, and answers to incoming questions from referring physicians.
- Interpret and evaluate laboratory and other diagnostic tests.
- Coordinate patient care
- Independent study and research into clinical matters impacting patient care
- Document, order, and coordinate care through our EHR system.
License/Certification Requirements:
- Certification by the National Commission of Physician Assistants
- Current CA Physician Assistant License
- DEA Certification required or eligible to obtain
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of GI experience strongly preferred but enthusiastic new graduates are highly welcomed as well.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
