The Specialty Clinical Associate will primarily provide patient care services in the Emergency Department at UCI Health – Los Alamitos with the potential to work at other sites in the future. Clinical Associate is expected to comply with all compliance standards, complete all required trainings, and follow proper documentation process to meet the standards of the Compliance Office and Medicare regulations.
Responsibilities:
1. Examine, diagnose and provide treatment for Emergency Department patients.
2. Complete all necessary paperwork and patient documentation within departmental standards.
3. Complete patient encounter forms and meet the requirements outlined in the Professional Fee Billing (IL372) Compliance Plan
4. Maintain UCI Medical Staff Privileges, UCI Medical Group active membership
Qualifications:
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fluid, fast-paced work environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to problem solve objectively
- Must possess an MD or DO and board certification/board eligibility in Emergency Medicine
- California DEA registration
- California Medical License/California Medical License eligibility
- Must possess an MD or DO and board certification/board eligibility in Emergency Medicine
Special Conditions:
- Ability to obtain UCI med staff credentials
Total Rewards
The expected pay range for this recruitment is $315,964 – $406,183 (depending on years of experience) with a potential for a year-end incentive.
Benefits eligible base salary compensation based on MSP level for a Clinical Associate is $315,964 – $406,183. In addition, candidates have the potential to earn additional compensation through incentive eligibility on top of the base salary contingent on performance and experience.
