Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Interventional Pain Management
We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our established private Interventional Pain Management practice in Fresno, CA.
This is an excellent opportunity for an NP or PA who is interested in developing expertise in interventional pain management and musculoskeletal care while working closely with a board-certified physician in a supportive outpatient setting.
Comprehensive training will be provided. Candidates with experience in pain management or another relevant specialty are encouraged to apply, but we are also open to motivated providers who have a strong clinical foundation and are eager to learn.
Position Overview
The NP/PA will work directly with our board-certified physician to evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic pain conditions.
Responsibilities may include:
- Performing comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations
- Evaluating and managing patients with musculoskeletal and pain conditions
- Reviewing X-rays, MRI, CT scans, and other diagnostic studies
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Providing follow-up care and monitoring patient progress
- Assisting with and participating in interventional pain procedures as appropriate
- Educating patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and care plans
- Collaborating closely with the physician and clinical team
- Maintaining accurate and timely medical documentation
Minimum Qualifications
- Current, active, unrestricted California Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
- Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program
- NP applicants: Current national board certification as a Nurse Practitioner and California NP furnishing authority, or eligibility to obtain furnishing authority
- PA applicants: Successful completion of the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE)
- Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one, as applicable to the position
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, documentation, and patient-management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient specialty practice
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of NP or PA clinical experience
- Experience in interventional pain management, orthopedics, PM&R, neurology, surgery, or another procedural specialty
- Experience evaluating musculoskeletal and pain conditions
- Familiarity with reviewing X-rays, MRI, and CT imaging
- Experience in an outpatient procedural or specialty practice
- Strong interest in interventional pain management
- Experience working collaboratively with physicians and other clinical staff
