About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our outpatient Gastroenterology practice. You will work closely with our primary gastroenterologist to provide high-quality care for patients with a wide range of digestive and liver disorders.

This is an ideal role for an autonomous clinician who excels in outpatient consultation, patient education, and long-term condition management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial office consultations and follow-up visits for adult GI patients.
  • Evaluate and manage common and complex gastrointestinal and hepatic conditions (e.g., GERD, IBS, IBD, fatty liver disease, biliary issues, colon cancer screening).
  • Order and interpret relevant diagnostic tests, laboratory work, imaging, and pathology results.
  • Formulate evidence-based treatment plans and prescribe appropriate pharmacotherapy.
  • Educate patients on disease prevention, dietary modifications, and procedure preparation.
  • Collaborate closely with the attending physician and clinical support staff to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough electronic health record (EHR) documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Active, unrestricted California Nurse Practitioner (NP) license.
  • Certification: Board Certification (AANP or ANCC) and active DEA registration.
  • Bilingual (Strongly Preferred): Fluency in both Spanish and English to effectively serve our patient population.
  • GI Experience (Strongly Preferred): Prior clinical experience as an NP in Gastroenterology or a specialized outpatient medical setting.

What We Offer

  • Work-Life Balance: Outpatient clinic hours only — no hospital call, no nights, no weekends.
  • Supportive Environment: Collaborative team culture with dedicated medical assistant support.
  • Competitive Compensation: Commensurate with experience.
  • Benefits: Paid time off (PTO), Paid vacation, CME time off, and malpractice coverage.
