Position Overview
TrueCare Cosmetic Surgery is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant with a strong background in plastic surgery, aesthetics, or a closely related surgical specialty. This role is designed for a clinically sophisticated provider who can support both surgical and non-surgical patient care while contributing to overall practice growth, patient experience, and treatment conversion.
The ideal candidate is confident in patient consultations, understands aesthetic balance and surgical planning, and can operate seamlessly in a fast-paced, high-end clinical environment.
Core Responsibilities
Clinical & Surgical Support
- Assist in surgical procedures, including pre-operative preparation, intraoperative support, and post-operative care
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, medical histories, and physical assessments
- Support treatment planning in collaboration with the surgeon, ensuring alignment with patient goals and clinical best practices
- Manage post-operative follow-ups, wound care, and recovery protocols
Patient Consultations & Conversion
- Perform comprehensive consultations, setting realistic expectations and educating patients on surgical and non-surgical options
- Present treatment plans with clarity and confidence, supporting conversion to surgery or complementary procedures
- Build trust through a high-touch, concierge-level patient experience
- Identify opportunities for adjunct treatments (injectables, skin, laser, wellness when appropriate)
Non-Surgical Aesthetic Treatments (if applicable)
- Perform or assist with injectables (neuromodulators, dermal fillers) depending on experience and scope
- Support skin and laser treatments in alignment with practice offerings
- Maintain a natural, balanced aesthetic approach consistent with the practice’s brand
Operational Excellence
- Maintain accurate and compliant medical documentation
- Collaborate with front desk and patient coordinators to ensure seamless scheduling and follow-through
- Support clinical efficiency, patient flow, and overall treatment experience
- Adhere to all safety, regulatory, and compliance standards
Qualifications
- Licensed Physician Assistant in the state of California (or eligible)
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in plastic surgery, cosmetic surgery, dermatology, or aesthetics preferred
- Strong understanding of facial anatomy, surgical procedures, and aesthetic treatment planning
- Experience assisting in the operating room strongly preferred
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to guide patients through decision-making
- Professional, polished presence aligned with a high-end cosmetic practice

Pay: $120,000.00 – $180,000.00 per year
