Job SummaryUniversal Primary Care and Universal Urgent Care are seeking passionate and dedicated Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) to join our growing team across six convenient locations in Bakersfield, California.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and assess patients’ health status.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Perform cardiac catheterization procedures as required.
• Manage discharge planning for patients, ensuring a smooth transition from hospital to home or other care facilities.
• Suture wounds and manage minor surgical procedures as necessary.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient encounters.
• Provide urgent care services for patients with acute medical conditions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes, particularly in senior care settings.
• Utilize knowledge of anatomy to inform clinical decision-making and interventions.
• Participate in ongoing education and professional development activities to stay current with medical practices.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Nursing or a related field from an accredited program.
• Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of practice.
• Experience in geriatrics or senior care is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in performing physical examinations and managing medical records effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
