We are building an in-house cardiology program so our patients can be referred and seen quickly by a trusted provider within the same clinic they already know and feel comfortable in. By keeping care under one roof, we’re able to improve communication, reduce delays, and create a smoother experience for both patients and providers.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Cardiology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team. They will work under the supervision of our Cardiologist, Dr. Paul Olorufemi. This role will focus on evaluating, diagnosing, and managing patients with cardiovascular conditions in a collaborative, supportive clinical environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular assessments
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests (EKGs, labs, imaging, etc.)
- Educate patients on heart health, prevention, and lifestyle changes
- Collaborate closely with primary care providers and specialists
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR
- Familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes and ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9) for diagnoses documentation.
- Strong knowledge of cardiology-specific procedures such as cardiac catheterization and IV infusion therapies.
Qualifications:
- Active NP or PA license in [State]
- Board certification (NP or PA-C)
- Experience in cardiology is preferred but will consider new graduates.
- Strong clinical judgment and patient care skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history-taking, physical examinations, and vital signs monitoring for individuals with cardiac concerns.
- Perform diagnostic procedures such as stress test and sonography under supervision or independently as appropriate.
- Manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions by developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, and providing patient education on lifestyle modifications.
