Position Summary
A well-established outpatient pain management clinic in Tucson, Arizona is hiring a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join its patient-centered, interventional care team. This role offers a structured weekday schedule, no weekend duties, and the opportunity to work within a collaborative clinical environment dedicated to improving quality of life for patients with chronic pain.

We’re seeking a clinically confident and highly communicative provider who thrives in a team-based setting and is dedicated to evidence-informed care. Candidates with prior experience in pain management, orthopedics, or internal medicine are especially encouraged to apply. However, we also welcome driven new graduates with a strong interest in developing expertise in pain care.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including new consultations, follow-ups, and pre-procedure evaluations
- Order and interpret relevant diagnostic tests, imaging, and lab work
- Collaborate with physicians to create personalized treatment plans
- Support interventional procedures, including but not limited to:
- Spinal Cord Stimulator Trials
- Epidural Steroid Injections
- Medial Branch Blocks
- Kyphoplasty
- Minuteman Implants
- Conduct minor in-office procedures when appropriate
- Prescribe and manage controlled substances in accordance with PDMP and clinic guidelines
- Educate patients on treatment expectations, recovery, and health strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation within the EHR system
- Participate in limited annual after-hours call rotation
- Ensure smooth patient discharges and coordinate follow-up care
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited U.S.-based Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program (Note: Programs in Puerto Rico are not eligible)
- Active or eligible Arizona NP or PA license
- National certification (NP or PA-C)
- DEA registration or eligibility to obtain
- Current BLS certification
- Preferred: Clinical experience in pain management, orthopedics, or internal medicine
