Job Title: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Advanced Practice Provider in Pain Management

Location: Tucson, ArizonaSchedule: Full-Time | Four 10-hour shifts per week | No weekend dutiesSetting: Outpatient Clinic specializing in Interventional Pain ManagementTravel: No travel required

Compensation and Incentives

  • Annual salary range between $120,000 and $150,000, commensurate with experience

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a leading outpatient pain management practice in Tucson, AZ. This position offers the chance to work within a multidisciplinary team providing a comprehensive approach to pain management that includes diagnostic evaluation, procedural assistance, and ongoing patient care. The role features a stable schedule without weekend work, supporting a balanced professional and personal life.

Candidate Profile

  • Committed to improving patient outcomes through effective chronic pain management
  • Background in pain management, orthopedics, internal medicine, or willingness to build expertise in this field

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct evaluations for new patients, routine follow-up appointments, and clearance for procedures
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests and imaging studies
  • Collaborate with the medical team to design and update personalized care plans
  • Assist and support various interventional procedures including but not limited to:
  • Spinal Cord Stimulator Trials
  • Epidural Steroid Injections
  • Medial Branch Blocks
  • Kyphoplasty
  • Minuteman Implants
  • Perform minor in-office procedures as necessary
  • Manage controlled substance prescriptions in accordance with PDMP guidelines and clinic policies
  • Provide patient education on treatment options, therapy expectations, and lifestyle adjustments
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic health record documentation
  • Participate in an annual, limited after-hours on-call rotation
  • Coordinate safe patient discharge and ensure proper follow-up care

Required Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program in the U.S. (Puerto Rico programs excluded)
  • Current, active Arizona license as NP or PA, or eligibility to obtain one
  • National certification (NP or PA-C)
  • DEA registration or willingness to obtain
  • Valid BLS certification
  • Previous experience in pain management, internal medicine, or orthopedics preferred
  • New graduates with strong clinical skills and interest in pain management will be considered
