Who You Are

  • A detail-oriented clinician with excellent communication skills and sound clinical judgment
  • Passionate about helping patients effectively manage chronic pain
  • Experienced in pain management, orthopedics, or internal medicine, or eager to develop expertise in this specialty

Core Responsibilities

  • Perform new patient evaluations, follow-up visits, and procedure clearances
  • Order and review diagnostic tests including labs and imaging
  • Develop and modify individualized care plans in collaboration with the medical team
  • Support interventional procedures such as:
  • Spinal Cord Stimulator Trials
  • Epidural Steroid Injections
  • Medial Branch Blocks
  • Kyphoplasty
  • Minuteman Implants
  • Conduct minor in-office procedures as appropriate
  • Manage medication protocols, including controlled substances, adhering to PDMP and clinic policies
  • Educate patients about therapies, expectations, and lifestyle modifications
  • Maintain thorough, accurate documentation in the EHR
  • Participate in a limited, once-a-year after-hours on-call rotation
  • Ensure safe discharge and follow-up coordination

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited U.S.-based NP or PA program (excluding Puerto Rico)
  • Active Arizona NP or PA license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • National certification (NP or PA-C)
  • DEA registration or willingness to obtain
  • BLS certification
  • Prior experience in pain management, internal medicine, or orthopedics preferred
  • New providers with strong clinical training and interest in this specialty will be considered
