Who You Are
- A detail-oriented clinician with excellent communication skills and sound clinical judgment
- Passionate about helping patients effectively manage chronic pain
- Experienced in pain management, orthopedics, or internal medicine, or eager to develop expertise in this specialty
Core Responsibilities
- Perform new patient evaluations, follow-up visits, and procedure clearances
- Order and review diagnostic tests including labs and imaging
- Develop and modify individualized care plans in collaboration with the medical team
- Support interventional procedures such as:
- Spinal Cord Stimulator Trials
- Epidural Steroid Injections
- Medial Branch Blocks
- Kyphoplasty
- Minuteman Implants
- Conduct minor in-office procedures as appropriate
- Manage medication protocols, including controlled substances, adhering to PDMP and clinic policies
- Educate patients about therapies, expectations, and lifestyle modifications
- Maintain thorough, accurate documentation in the EHR
- Participate in a limited, once-a-year after-hours on-call rotation
- Ensure safe discharge and follow-up coordination
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited U.S.-based NP or PA program (excluding Puerto Rico)
- Active Arizona NP or PA license (or eligibility to obtain)
- National certification (NP or PA-C)
- DEA registration or willingness to obtain
- BLS certification
- Prior experience in pain management, internal medicine, or orthopedics preferred
- New providers with strong clinical training and interest in this specialty will be considered
