Job Summary:
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA) provides primary care services in a dynamic and supportive clinic setting, primarily serving the adult and Medicare population. This role includes direct patient care, chronic disease management, preventive services, and acute care. The ideal candidate is clinically adept, empathetic, and driven to improve health outcomes in the community.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive and problem-focused physical examinations
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions commonly seen in adult and senior populations
- Prescribe medications in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Order, interpret, and act upon diagnostic tests including labs, X-rays, and EKGs
- Provide education on preventive healthcare, including immunizations and screenings
- Document all patient interactions and treatment plans accurately and timely
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge and compliance with licensing and healthcare regulations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education
- Foster patient engagement through trust-building and clear communication
Prerequisites / License & Certification Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) program in the USA (not Puerto Rico)
- Active and unrestricted license to practice as an NP or PA in the state of Arizona
- DEA registration (if prescribing medications)
- CPR/BLS certification
