About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join a respected outpatient neurology and sleep medicine practice in Sun City, Arizona. Ideal Candidate Profile
This position is well-suited for an attentive and motivated provider with a strong interest in neurology or sleep health. While prior experience in either field is preferred, we welcome candidates from internal medicine or geriatrics who are eager to grow their expertise with structured clinical support.
Core Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients with neurological and sleep-related disorders
- Manage conditions such as epilepsy, dementia, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, migraines, and sleep apnea
- Interpret diagnostic tests including EEGs, MRIs, EMGs, and sleep studies
- Develop personalized, evidence-based care plans and adjust treatment as needed
- Prescribe and monitor medications in accordance with best practice standards
- Educate patients on disease processes, adherence to treatment, and lifestyle adjustments
- Maintain clear and timely documentation in the EMR system
- Coordinate closely with physicians, specialists, and ancillary staff
- Stay informed on emerging research and clinical advancements in neurology and sleep medicine
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program (U.S.-based; Puerto Rico programs not eligible)
- Active Arizona license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
- National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)
- DEA registration or ability to obtain
- Strong documentation and EMR navigation skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and clinical judgment capabilities
Preferred Experience
- Clinical background in neurology, sleep medicine, internal medicine, or geriatrics
- Familiarity with interpreting neurological and sleep diagnostics
- Interest in building long-term patient relationships in a subspecialty setting
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 annually, depending on experience
- Bonus Structure: Incentive-based (linked to productivity or collections)
