Position Overview
We are currently seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join a well-established outpatient practice specializing in neurology and sleep medicine located in Sun City, Arizona. This full-time position offers a structured weekday schedule with no nights, weekends, or call responsibilities—ideal for providers seeking meaningful clinical engagement without sacrificing work-life balance. Candidate Profile
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented provider with a passion for neurology and sleep health. Whether you bring prior experience in these fields or are seeking to enter this subspecialty with support and training, you’ll find this position both rewarding and professionally enriching. A strong foundation in internal medicine or geriatrics is beneficial, though not required.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive neurological and sleep-related assessments
- Manage conditions such as epilepsy, dementia, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, migraines, and sleep apnea
- Review and interpret EEGs, MRIs, EMGs, and sleep studies
- Develop and modify evidence-based treatment plans
- Prescribe and monitor medications in accordance with clinical guidelines
- Provide patient education on diagnoses, treatment adherence, and lifestyle modification
- Accurately document all patient encounters in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Coordinate care with physicians and allied health professionals
- Stay current with clinical advances and research in neurology and sleep medicine
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited U.S.-based NP or PA program (excludes Puerto Rico-based programs)
- Active Arizona license or eligibility to obtain one prior to start
- National board certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)
- DEA license or eligibility to obtain
- Prior experience in neurology, sleep medicine, internal medicine, or geriatrics preferred
- Strong EMR documentation skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and clinical decision-making abilities
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
- Bonus Structure: Incentive-based, tied to productivity or collections
