Full Job Description
Responsibilities:
· Conduct thorough assessments of patients with various wound types, including diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, surgical wounds, and complex non-healing wounds.
· Utilize diagnostic tools, medical history, and physical examinations to accurately diagnose wound aetiology and contributing factors.
· Collaborate with supervising physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop individualized wound care plans tailored to patients’ needs and goals.
· Integrate evidence-based wound management strategies, including wound dressings, debridement, and adjunctive therapies.
· Administer wound care procedures, such as applying advanced wound dressings and negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT).
· Collaborate with wound care nurses, other nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive wound care.
· Maintain accurate and organized electronic health records (EHR) documenting wound assessments, treatment plans, procedures, and progress.
Qualifications:
- Physician Assistant (PA) degree from an accredited program.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience required.
- Certification and licensure as an PA in the state of practice.
- Proficient understanding of wound aetiology, wound healing phases, and evidence-based wound management.
- Compassion, empathy, and a patient-centered approach to care.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and documentation systems.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 – $140,000.00 per year
