Full Job Description

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Gastroenterology, Family Medicine or Internal Medicine and experience in non surgical procedures. This role involves providing high-quality patient care, performing diagnostic evaluations, and collaborating with physicians to develop treatment plans. The Physician Assistant will also have to be able to work independently and demonstrate leadership and teamwork with staff.

Duties

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical histories.
• Perform diagnostic evaluations and procedures such as spinal taps and airway management.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to formulate and implement patient care plans.
• Provide patient education on health management and disease prevention.
• Utilize electronic health record systems, specifically DrChrono, for documentation and coding.
• Maintain compliance with basic life support protocols and other safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field.
• Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Experience in public health initiatives is preferred.
• Proficiency in performing vital signs assessments and airway management techniques.
• Knowledge of telehealth practices and electronic health record systems, particularly DrChrono.
• Strong skills in diagnostic evaluation and coding practices.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
