Full Job Description
Responsibilities:- Diagnose and treat musculoskeletal conditions and injuries- Perform orthopedic surgeries as needed- Conduct patient consultations and examinations- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays and MRIs- Develop treatment plans and monitor patient progress- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care- Document patient information accurately in medical records- Stay up-to-date with advancements in orthopedic medicine and techniques
Requirements:- Medical degree and completion of residency in Orthopedics- Board certification or eligibility for certification in Orthopedics- Valid medical license to practice as an Orthopedist- Proficiency in ICD-10 coding systems for accurate billing and documentation- Strong knowledge of medical record systems and data collection methods- Experience in health coaching to educate patients on injury prevention and rehabilitation exercises- Familiarity with ICU protocols for managing orthopedic trauma cases- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality- Proficiency in electronic health record systems, such as Cerner- Ability to perform procedures such as joint injections, casting, and catheterization
