Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Neurology practice and focus on care for patients in our Movement Disorders and Behavioral Neurology Divisions. The ideal candidate will manage established patients with Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders and Alzheimer’s disease and other cognitive syndromes, thus ensuring continuity and quality of longitudinal care. The role will involve learning Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) device programming and management of new and emerging dementia therapies. This role is a great fit for someone who is invested in improving the lives of patients with neurodegenerative diseases, has a keen eye for detail, and who desires to be part of a collaborative, patient-centered team and environment.

During the selection process you may participate in an OnDemand (pre-recorded) interview that you can complete at your convenience. During the OnDemand interview, a question will appear on your screen, and you will have time to consider each question before responding. You will have the opportunity to re-record your answer to each question – Mayo Clinic will only see the final recording. The complete interview will be reviewed by a Mayo Clinic staff member and you will be notified of next steps.

Qualifications

Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current AZ RN and APRN license and certification as a FNP, ANP or ACNP.

Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the AZ State Board of Medical Practice.

Additional Qualifications:

Active BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross at start date and DEA registration required
