Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical-surgical practices specifically focused on plastic and reconstructive surgery with an emphasis on wellness(HRT, medical weight loss, lasers, tox and fillers) . This role involves working closely with physicians to provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including acute care peri-opertively, pre-op, post-op. The Physician Assistant will be responsible for performing assessments, developing treatment plans, and managing patients’ health needs for the wellness and be comfortable seeing pre and post plastic surgery patients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and medical histories to determine appropriate diagnoses.
- Perform medical procedures such as suturing, and managing acute pain.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Utilize electronic health record systems to document patient information accurately.
- Provide education to patients regarding their conditions, treatments, and preventive care.
- Monitor patients in Peri-operative critical care settings and respond to changes in their condition effectively.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Strong clinical skills in medical-surgical practices and critical care management.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate patients effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Knowledge of acute pain management strategies is a plus.
- Familiarity with plastic surgery, medical spa, weight loss, Hormone replacement health practices is desirable.
