Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic test interpretation.
  • Focus on cardiovascular and related systems.
  • Assist in diagnosing cardiovascular conditions, such as heart disease, hypertension, and vascular disorders.
  • Develop treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician.
  • Assist in various cardiac procedures, such as stress tests, echocardiograms, and cardiac catheterizations.
  • Monitor patients during and after procedures.
  • Prescribe medications as appropriate, including anti-arrhythmics, anticoagulants, and medications for hypertension.
  • Educate patients on cardiovascular health, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence.
  • Provide information on preventive measures and risk factor management.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and technicians.
  • Consult with specialists as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, examination findings, and treatment plans.
  • Provide ongoing follow-up care for patients with chronic cardiovascular conditions.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a physician assistant program and certification.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience required.
  • Possession of a valid state license to practice as a Physician Assistant.
  • Previous experience or training in cardiology is often preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with patients and collaborating with the healthcare team.
  • Maintaining certifications and staying current with the latest guidelines in cardiology.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $180,000.00 – $240,000.00 per year
