Job Description:Interventional Psychiatry of Arizona is seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Physician Assistant (PA) to join our outpatient psychiatric practice. This is a flexible 1099 contract position with the opportunity to start part-time and transition to full-time. You will work alongside experienced psychiatrists in a collaborative, supportive environment while providing high-quality mental health care to our patients.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, mental health assessments, and follow-up visits.
• Diagnose and treat a range of psychiatric conditions under physician supervision.
• Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing and managing psychotropic medications.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).

Qualifications:

• Current Physician Assistant (PA) license in Arizona and board certification.
• Prior experience in psychiatry or a strong interest in mental health.
• DEA license (or eligibility to obtain one).
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and medication management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster patient trust and team collaboration.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with supervising psychiatrists.
