Nurse Practitioner Job Description

Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner or PA with wound care experience to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a collaborative environment, focusing on both inpatient and outpatient settings. This role requires a strong understanding of patient management, critical care, and discharge planning, as well as experience with electronic medical records systems such as Tebra. The Nurse Practitioner or PA will play a vital role in enhancing patient outcomes through effective utilization management and education.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their health status and needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient evaluations.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care.
  • Manage inpatient care, including critical care scenarios, ensuring adherence to treatment protocols.
  • Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
  • Utilize electronic medical records for documentation and communication of patient information.
  • Oversee sterile processing procedures to maintain a safe clinical environment.
  • Provide guidance on durable medical equipment (DME) needs for patients post-discharge.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and stay updated on best practices in nursing.

Requirements

  • WOUND CARE EXPERIENCE
  • Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current Nurse Practitioner certification and state licensure.
  • Experience in a medical office or teaching hospital setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with utilization management processes is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of critical care practices and sterile processing standards is essential.
  • Proficient in using electronic health record systems, particularly Epic.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate patient-centered care.

Pay: $75.00 – $95.00 per hour
