We specialize in ENT, Allergy, Audiology, Facial Plastics and Sleep Medicine. We are looking for motivated team members to join our practice to help us continue our mission in providing the best patient care possible. Under general supervision of the practice physicians the Physician Assistant will evaluate illnesses or injuries of the ears, nose, or throat, administer tests, and provide diagnosis and treatment plans to pediatric and adult patients and perform miscellaneous duties in support and care of services provided in an outpatient or inpatient medical setting.

  • Provides treatment and evaluation of illnesses or injuries of the ears, nose, or throat in pediatric and adult patients.
  • Performs appropriate assessments, obtains histories, and completes physical examinations.
  • Uses knowledge of physical, social, emotional, and developmental functioning and diagnostic skills to develop a working diagnosis for patients for the development and implementation of treatment plans.
  • Orders and interprets patient care tests, treatments and exams.
  • Administers and interprets diagnostic tests.
  • Completes timely and accurate documentation of all pertinent clinical findings in the patient medical record to facilitate communication with team members and provide a legal medical record in accordance with established documentation standards of the practice.
  • Handles prescription needs, provides advice regarding ENT problems, general health education and coordination of care.
  • Renders care to patients in accordance with quality and standards as are established by the practice with the standards of care prevailing in the community, applicable law, and according to state and federal grant requirements for non-discrimination regardless of status, race, sex, religion, national origin, handicap, age, or ability to pay.

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree from an accredited master’s level physician assistant program. Licensed as a Physician Assistant in the State of Arizona. Current DEA License
  • Training and experience: Two years of ENT experience working as a PA preferred. Internet, email, MS Office and data entry skills required. Unless otherwise indicated, one year of current experience within the last year in a comparable job classification required.
  • Educated on and compliant with HIPAA regulations; maintains strict confidentiality of patient and client information.
  • Ability to pass state/federal background security check.
  • Ability to work effectively within role independently and with other team members.
  • Ability to organize and complete work in a timely manner.
  • Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English.
  • Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to understand medical/surgical terminology to evaluate and treat illness.
  • Physical Demands-Stooping, turning, bending, squatting, kneeling and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds; constant/repetitive standing; requires normal, correctable vision and hearing, and the ability to accurately. discern duties as necessary to perform job functions.
