Position Summary
We are seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to join our interventional pain management clinic. The PA will work closely with supervising physicians to perform comprehensive new-patient evaluations, follow-up visits, and ongoing pain management consultations. The provider will participate in care planning, initiate appropriate diagnostic testing, and order interventional pain procedures under physician supervision.
This is an excellent opportunity for a provider who enjoys autonomy within a collaborative clinical environment and has an interest in chronic pain, musculoskeletal medicine, spine care, and functional rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough new patient assessments, including medical history, physical examination, and documentation.
- Perform follow-up visits, ongoing pain evaluations, and medication reviews.
- Develop and document treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Order interventional pain procedures (e.g., epidural steroid injections, facet blocks, radiofrequency ablation, peripheral joint injections, trigger point injections) under physician supervision.
- Evaluate diagnostic and imaging findings to guide treatment decisions.
- Participate in patient education regarding pain conditions, lifestyle management, medications, rehabilitation options, and procedural expectations.
- Review and update electronic medical records using established clinical documentation standards.
- Coordinate referrals to specialists, physical therapy, behavioral health, diagnostic imaging, or additional interventional services as needed.
- Respond to patient inquiries, messages, and follow-up needs in a timely, professional manner.
- Support physicians and clinical team in multidisciplinary care planning.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current state PA license and NCCPA certification (or eligibility).
- Prior experience in pain management, orthopedics, neurology, PM&R, rheumatology, primary care, or related specialties preferred, but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient specialty setting with attention to accuracy and clinical detail.
- Experienced with EMR systems and standard clinical documentation practices.

- Full-time weekday schedule (no nights or holidays; no weekends).

Pay: $100,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year
