Position Title: Pain Management Nurse Practitioner / Physician AssistantLocation: Mesa, Arizona (with limited travel to Peoria, AZ – approximately twice per month)Schedule: Full-Time | Outpatient ClinicTravel Requirements: Minimal – Peoria coverage twice monthly

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our expanding interventional pain management practice in Mesa, Arizona. This full-time, outpatient role is an excellent opportunity for a provider who values a functional, non-opioid-centered approach to chronic pain care. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team utilizing advanced, image-guided procedures designed to improve patient outcomes. Occasional clinical support will be required at our Peoria location to support continuity of care across both sites.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual Salary: $130,000 – $160,000 (commensurate with experience)

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate brings a strong clinical foundation in pain medicine, orthopedics, or spine care, or a demonstrated interest in developing within this specialty. You are a proactive provider who values collaborative care, attention to detail, and patient education. Your ability to assess complex cases, communicate clearly, and support interventional treatment plans is essential to your success in this role.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive physical assessments and evaluate chronic pain conditions
  • Develop individualized treatment plans aimed at function restoration and reduced pain
  • Assist and coordinate interventional procedures such as:
  • Epidural Steroid Injections
  • Medial Branch Blocks (MBB)
  • Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA)
  • Spinal Cord Stimulator Trials
  • Vertebral Augmentation
  • Vertiflex and MILD procedures
  • Review diagnostic imaging and laboratory findings to guide treatment decisions
  • Deliver detailed patient education, managing expectations and treatment goals
  • Accurately document all care activities in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff across clinic sites

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited U.S.-based Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program (Puerto Rico-based programs excluded)
  • Active and unrestricted Arizona license as an NP or PA
  • DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Preferred: 1–2 years of clinical experience in pain management, spine, or orthopedic care
  • Proficient in interpreting diagnostic imaging and managing post-procedural follow-up
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and patient engagement skills
