Job Title: Pain Management Nurse Practitioner / Physician AssistantLocation: Mesa, Arizona (occasional coverage in Peoria, AZ – twice monthly)Schedule: Full-Time | Outpatient ClinicTravel: Limited travel to Peoria twice a month

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a growing interventional pain management team in Mesa, Arizona. This full-time, outpatient-focused position offers the opportunity to work in a clinically advanced setting that prioritizes non-opioid treatment strategies and minimally invasive procedures. You’ll collaborate with a team of specialists dedicated to helping patients reduce pain and restore function, with occasional support needed at our Peoria location.

The Right Candidate

You’re a motivated and empathetic provider with a strong foundation in pain medicine, orthopedics, or spinal care—or a deep interest in entering the field. You bring a team-based mindset, attention to detail, and clinical confidence in managing chronic pain and procedural follow-ups. Strong communication skills and patient education are central to your approach.

Core Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough physical exams and evaluate complex pain complaints
  • Formulate personalized care plans prioritizing function and quality of life
  • Coordinate and assist in interventional procedures including:
  • Epidural Steroid Injections
  • Medial Branch Blocks (MBB)
  • Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA)
  • Spinal Cord Stimulator Trials
  • Vertebral Augmentation
  • Vertiflex and MILD procedures
  • Interpret diagnostic imaging and lab results to guide clinical decision-making
  • Provide comprehensive patient education and set expectations for outcomes
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff across clinic sites

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program (U.S.-based; Puerto Rico programs not accepted)
  • Current and unrestricted Arizona license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • DEA license (or eligibility to obtain) for prescribing scheduled medications
  • Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience in pain management, spine care, or orthopedics preferred
  • Proficient in interpreting imaging studies and managing follow-up care
  • Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to coordinated, ethical care
