Position Overview

We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our expanding pain management practice in Mesa, AZ. This full-time outpatient role emphasizes non-opioid pain treatments and interventional pain management. Working alongside experienced physicians in a multidisciplinary team, you will help patients manage chronic pain through image-guided procedures and evidence-based care.

Who We Are Looking For

A compassionate, motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with an interest or experience in pain management, orthopedics, or spine care. You should have strong communication skills, be adept at working within a team, and demonstrate commitment to evidence-based practices. This role involves both diagnostic and procedural responsibilities to help patients regain function and reduce pain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive physical exams and gather detailed patient histories
  • Develop individualized treatment plans emphasizing pain reduction and functional improvement
  • Manage chronic and neuropathic pain with a focus on non-opioid therapies
  • Assist in image-guided procedures, including:
  • Epidural Steroid Injections
  • Medial Branch Blocks (MBB)
  • Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA)
  • Vertebral Augmentation
  • Spinal Cord Stimulator Trials
  • Vertiflex & MILD procedures
  • Order, review, and act upon diagnostic testing such as imaging and labs
  • Educate patients about their diagnoses, treatment options, and recovery plans
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation within the EHR system
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing, and administrative staff

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program (U.S.-based, excluding Puerto Rico)
  • Active, unrestricted NP or PA license in Arizona
  • DEA certification or eligibility to obtain (for prescribing Schedule II-IV substances)
  • 1–2+ years experience preferred in pain management, orthopedics, or spine care
  • Strong skills in interpreting imaging and diagnostic tests
  • Excellent communication and clinical documentation skills
