Position Overview
We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our expanding pain management practice in Mesa, AZ. This full-time outpatient role emphasizes non-opioid pain treatments and interventional pain management. Working alongside experienced physicians in a multidisciplinary team, you will help patients manage chronic pain through image-guided procedures and evidence-based care.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $130,000 – $160,000 annually (commensurate with experience)

Who We Are Looking For
A compassionate, motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with an interest or experience in pain management, orthopedics, or spine care. You should have strong communication skills, be adept at working within a team, and demonstrate commitment to evidence-based practices. This role involves both diagnostic and procedural responsibilities to help patients regain function and reduce pain.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physical exams and gather detailed patient histories
- Develop individualized treatment plans emphasizing pain reduction and functional improvement
- Manage chronic and neuropathic pain with a focus on non-opioid therapies
- Assist in image-guided procedures, including:
- Epidural Steroid Injections
- Medial Branch Blocks (MBB)
- Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA)
- Vertebral Augmentation
- Spinal Cord Stimulator Trials
- Vertiflex & MILD procedures
- Order, review, and act upon diagnostic testing such as imaging and labs
- Educate patients about their diagnoses, treatment options, and recovery plans
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation within the EHR system
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing, and administrative staff
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program (U.S.-based, excluding Puerto Rico)
- Active, unrestricted NP or PA license in Arizona
- DEA certification or eligibility to obtain (for prescribing Schedule II-IV substances)
- 1–2+ years experience preferred in pain management, orthopedics, or spine care
- Strong skills in interpreting imaging and diagnostic tests
- Excellent communication and clinical documentation skills
