Position Overview

We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our expanding pain management practice in Mesa, AZ. In this full-time outpatient role, you will have the chance to work closely with patients managing chronic pain, focusing on non-opioid treatments and enhancing your skills in interventional pain management. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will perform image-guided procedures and collaborate with experienced physicians in the field of pain management.

Compensation & Benefits

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a compassionate, driven Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a keen interest or experience in pain management, orthopedics, or spine care. You should possess strong communication skills, the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team, and a commitment to evidence-based practices. This role will allow you to engage in both diagnostic and procedural aspects of pain management, helping patients regain their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive physical exams and document detailed patient histories
  • Develop personalized treatment plans focused on pain reduction and functional improvement
  • Manage chronic and neuropathic pain conditions with a strong emphasis on non-opioid interventions
  • Assist in performing image-guided procedures such as:
  • Epidural Steroid Injections
  • Medial Branch Blocks (MBB)
  • Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA)
  • Vertebral Augmentation
  • Spinal Cord Stimulator Trials
  • Vertiflex & MILD procedures
  • Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests including imaging and lab results
  • Educate patients on their conditions, treatment options, and recovery plans
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the EHR system
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and administrative personnel to provide high-quality patient care

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program (U.S.-based, excluding Puerto Rico)
  • Active, unrestricted NP or PA license in Arizona
  • DEA certification (or ability to obtain) for prescribing Schedule II-IV substances
  • 1–2+ years of experience in pain management, orthopedics, or spine care preferred
  • Strong ability to interpret imaging and diagnostic test results
  • Excellent communication and clinical documentation skills
