Position SummaryA forward-thinking, patient-centered interventional pain management practice in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its clinical team. This full-time position offers a structured weekday schedule with no after-hours responsibilities and the opportunity to work within a highly specialized, minimally invasive treatment environment. The role emphasizes procedures and conservative care—not medication-only pain management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough physical exams and medical history reviews
  • Diagnose and manage chronic and acute pain conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Independently or collaboratively assist in interventional procedures, including:
  • Epidural Steroid Injections
  • Medial Branch Blocks and Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA)
  • Spinal Cord Stimulator Trials
  • Vertebral Augmentation, MILD, and Vertiflex
  • Order, interpret, and act on imaging and laboratory results
  • Prescribe medications within scope and compliance guidelines
  • Accurately document patient encounters in the EMR
  • Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and allied health providers to ensure integrated care

Candidate Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program (U.S.-based only; Puerto Rico programs not eligible)
  • Active and unrestricted Arizona license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • DEA license with authority to prescribe Schedule II–IV medications
  • Preferred:
  • 1–2 years of experience in interventional pain, spine, orthopedics, or a related specialty
  • Familiarity with interventional pain procedures and treatment pathways
  • Strong clinical judgment, patient communication, and EMR proficiency
