About the PositionA progressive, multi-site outpatient pain management practice is seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its team in Mesa, Arizona. This role emphasizes evidence-based, minimally invasive interventions and a collaborative approach to chronic pain care—prioritizing long-term outcomes over volume-based or medication-heavy strategies.

Who We’re Looking ForYou are a clinically skilled, licensed Advanced Practice Provider who thrives in a dynamic outpatient environment. You bring proven experience in pain management or related specialties, excellent patient rapport, and a team-first mindset. Your clinical judgment, communication skills, and attention to detail set you apart.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed physical examinations and collect comprehensive histories
- Formulate and implement treatment plans tailored to individual pain profiles
- Manage patients using both conservative and interventional strategies
- Assist with or independently perform procedures such as:
- Epidural steroid injections
- Medial branch blocks
- Radiofrequency ablation
- Vertebral augmentation
- Spinal cord stimulator trials
- Vertiflex and MILD procedures
- Review diagnostics and laboratory data to guide care decisions
- Prescribe medications responsibly within regulatory frameworks
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EMR
- Collaborate closely with physicians, imaging specialists, and care coordinators
Qualifications
- Completion of a U.S.-accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
(Note: Programs based in Puerto Rico are not eligible)
- Active and unrestricted Arizona licensure (NP or PA)
- DEA license with Schedule II–IV prescribing authority
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in pain management, spine care, or orthopedics preferred
- Familiarity with interventional protocols and chronic pain guidelines
