Full Job Description

Busy, growing Endocrinology Practice in Chandler seeks a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team. Qualified candidate will see an average of 20-22 patients per day. Must be able to provide excellent patient care for acute and chronic conditions adult patients. This is an opportunity to be part of a progressive and highly skilled medical team.

In this role, you would:

  • Take the patient history and perform the appropriate physical exam
  • Interpret and evaluate patient data as authorized by a physician for the purpose of determining management and treatment of patients.
  • Consult with physician as appropriate.
  • Adjusts patient care plan by reviewing and monitoring treatments and therapy plans.
  • Administers or orders laboratory, radiological and diagnostic tests that will assist with the medical management; explain the necessity, preparation, nature and anticipates effects of treatments, and diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient.
  • Prescribes, recommends, and regulates appropriate pharmacologic medicine.
  • Documents appropriately and communicates with the physician in a timely manner as required, including, but not limited to: evaluations, treatment plans, progress reports, billing documentation, treatment notes, and other reports as requested.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Must have excellent time management skills
  • Demonstrates knowledge and compliance of HIPAA regulations
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Must possess excellent computer skills and EMR experience
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Have a minimum of 2 Years of Endocrine experience is preferred but not required
  • Have an active and unrestricted license
  • Ability to obtain appropriate licensure in Arizona and DEA license
  • AANP/AAPA certification
  • Have current BLS certification

Schedule:

  • Part-time (1 to 2 days a week)
  • Monday – Friday
