Job SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate and skilled Physicians Assistant (PA-C) with a psychiatric license to join our Christian psychiatric healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in an outpatient psychiatric facility. The LPN will work collaboratively with Doctors, PAs, NPs, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for patients, particularly those with complex psychiatric and medical needs.

Duties

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure patient safety.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
  • Provide personal care and support for patients, including assistance with daily living activities.
  • Document patient care accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients with diverse needs, including those requiring critical care or long-term management.
  • Educate patients and their families about health conditions, medications, and post-care procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols.
  • Participate in discharge planning and case management for patients transitioning to different levels of care.

Requirements

  • Current Alabama state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Experience in acute care settings such as hospitals or emergency rooms is preferred.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support techniques.
  • Previous experience in specialized areas such as geriatrics, pediatrics, hospice care, or memory care is a plus.
  • Strong patient assessment skills and the ability to perform procedures such as IV insertion, venipuncture, catheterization, and medication administration.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while demonstrating compassion and empathy towards patients.

Pay: $90,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
