  • Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems for accurate documentation and data management.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Provide health coaching and education to patients regarding lifestyle changes and disease prevention.
  • Participate in clinical research and trials to advance medical knowledge and improve patient outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient records.
  • Engage in triage responsibilities to prioritize patient care effectively.

Qualifications

  • Board Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with at least 2 years of experience; with hospitalist or ER experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with CPT coding and ICD-10 coding systems is essential.
  • Must be able to practice independently without other providers on site, as this is a rural location.
  • Knowledge of geriatrics, pediatrics, urgent care, internal medicine, and occupational health is beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and infection control practices.
  • Commitment to continuous learning through participation in professional development opportunities. Join our team to make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of our community while advancing your career in family medicine.

Patient Profile

  • Largely adult population, some teen; pediatrics are typically seen as sick visits as there is a pediatrician nearby
  • Predominantly primary care patients, but urgent care cases as well
  • Average between 10-25 patients per day, depending on the season
  • Amazing community!

Benefits

  • Slower pace, better patient relationships, fairly flexible schedule
