Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Triage Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in the outpatient facilities. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, particularly within the Gastroenterology field.
Duties
- Deliver a high degree of cheerful, caring, and courteous customer centered care when engaging with patients every day.
- Always greeting patients in a pleasant and welcoming manner.
- Take and record patient vitals and required additional information while verifying correct patient with correct chart and physician, using two identifiers.
- Manage patients flow from the front desk to the exam room.
- Communicate with patients if the physician is late or behind schedule.
- Ensures disinfection and cleanliness of all clinic areas, triage equipment, exam rooms, and waiting rooms.
- Manages supplies for exam rooms, keeping inventory and adding to the check list for ordering flow of all necessary supplies.
- Keeps inventory of sample closets while disposing of all expired meds in approved receptacles.
- Travels to satellite clinics if need arises.

- Light MA tasks such as precerting, performing breath tests, or calling to confirm appointments.
- Always observes HIPAA guidelines and patient safety.
- Other duties as needed
