Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 4+ years of experience for a PICU travel assignment at an acute care Magnet hospital in Alaska.
Details
- Acute care Magnet hospital setting with 152 staffed beds
- Respiratory therapy unit covering PICU, with floating to CCU, Flex Unit, SDU, PEDS, PCU, and FBS within scope
- High-acuity patient population including trauma, PICU, NICU, and floor therapy cases
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Day shift, 3×12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call required
- Uses Servo-U, V60, and HFNC equipment
- Charting in Cerner
- 13-week assignment
Requirements
- Active RRT credential required
- Minimum 4 years of respiratory therapy experience
- PICU, NICU, and adult ICU experience preferred
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CRT, NRP, PALS, RRT
- Cerner experience preferred
- Prior completed travel assignment required; first-time travelers will not be considered
- Alaska RN license required prior to start; compact license accepted at time of consideration — license required if applicable
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory therapy services across high-acuity settings including PICU, NICU, Level 2 ER, CCU, and general floor therapy
- Floating within scope required to meet facility staffing needs across multiple units
- Any color or pattern scrubs accepted
- No cost parking available on-site for travelers
- All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
