Position Overview

Dermio Dermatology is looking for an experienced Physician Assistant to join our team. We are looking for someone who has prior experience working as a PA in dermatology and is comfortable independently seeing patients, diagnosing and treating dermatologic conditions, and performing common in-office procedures.

This is a full-time position consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week.

Our practice sees a wide variety of medical dermatology patients, so we are looking for someone who is confident in their clinical skills, works well in a busy environment, and enjoys being part of a team.

Prior professional experience working as a Physician Assistant in dermatology is required.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform full-body skin examinations and evaluate suspicious lesions.
  • Diagnose and manage common dermatologic conditions including acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, dermatitis, and other skin disorders.
  • Identify and assist in the management of skin cancers and precancerous lesions.
  • Perform common dermatologic procedures including shave and punch biopsies, cryotherapy, injections, incision and drainage, and other appropriate in-office procedures.
  • Develop treatment plans and prescribe medications and therapies as appropriate.
  • Review pathology and laboratory results and communicate follow-up recommendations to patients.
  • Educate patients on their diagnosis, treatment options, medications, preventative care, and sun protection.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Work closely with physicians, other providers, medical assistants, and members of the clinical team.
  • Follow HIPAA, OSHA, infection-control, and practice policies and procedures.
  • Help provide an efficient, positive, and patient-focused experience throughout the visit.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current or eligible Indiana Physician Assistant license.
  • Current NCCPA certification.
  • DEA registration or eligibility to obtain registration, as applicable.
  • Prior professional experience working as a Physician Assistant in dermatology is required.
  • Experience independently evaluating and treating dermatology patients.
  • Comfortable performing common dermatologic procedures, including biopsies and cryotherapy.
  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Dependable, organized, and able to manage a busy patient schedule.
  • Ability to work well with providers, clinical staff, and other members of the team.

Pay: $120,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
