**Physician Assistant – Astoria (On-Site and Telehealth)**
**Pay: $70.00 – $120.00 per hour (see How compensation works)**
**Full-time | On-site and hybrid telehealth | Astoria, Queens**
**About**
Rockwell Health Center is a multi-site outpatient healthcare network with clinics across Brooklyn and Queens, providing primary care, behavioral health, and a growing range of specialty services. We are hiring a full-time Physician Assistant at our Astoria location for on-site clinic and hybrid telehealth work, and we welcome strong candidates from any specialty background.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Evaluate, diagnose, and manage adult patients in an outpatient primary care setting
* Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies, and adjust treatment accordingly
* Manage chronic conditions including diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular and metabolic disease
* Prescribe and adjust medications under the supervision of your collaborating physician
* Coordinate referrals, specialist follow-up, and closure of the care loop
* Document visits in eClinicalWorks (eCW) and complete notes the same day
**Requirements**
* Active, unrestricted New York State Physician Assistant license and registration
* Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
* Currently enrolled and active with both Medicare and New York Medicaid
* Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
* Not excluded or barred from Medicare or Medicaid billing
* Able to work on-site at our Astoria office each scheduled day
**Preferred skills**
* Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) or a comparable Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
* Spanish or another second language
* Prior outpatient, primary care, or telehealth experience
**How compensation works**
On-site clinic positions pay an hourly rate of $85.00 to $120.00 based on experience. Telehealth positions pay per completed note: $35.00 per note for the first 20 notes each day, and $40.00 for each note after that, which works out to roughly $70.00 to $105.00 per hour at typical patient volumes. Your first two weeks are paid training.
