Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Physician Assistant to join our pediatric healthcare team part-time/full-time/weekends. The ideal candidate will have an interest in pediatric medicine and provide high-quality, patient-centered care to children and their families.

The candidate must hold an active Physician Assistant license in New York State. Pediatric experience is preferred, but we are also open to recent graduates.

Duties

• Perform patient evaluations including medical histories and physical examinations.
• Assess and manage common pediatric illnesses and medical conditions.
• Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications within the scope of practice and applicable New York State regulations.
• Order and review appropriate laboratory tests and diagnostic studies.
• Provide education and guidance to patients and parents/guardians regarding treatment, medications, and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR).
• Communicate effectively with physicians, clinical staff, patients, and families.
• Follow established clinical protocols, infection-control procedures, and patient-safety standards.
• Provide compassionate, age-appropriate care in a professional clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Active New York State Physician Assistant license required.
• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Pediatric experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working with children and communicating with parents and caregivers.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians and clinical staff.
• New graduates are welcome to apply; training and clinical guidance can be provided as appropriate.
