Physician Assistant (PA) – Gastroenterology

Center for Digestive Diseases is seeking a motivated and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing gastroenterology practice. We are looking for someone who is patient-focused, dependable, and comfortable working in a busy outpatient clinical environment.

The Physician Assistant will work closely with our gastroenterologists to evaluate and manage patients with a variety of gastrointestinal conditions. GI experience is preferred, but we are open to candidates with strong clinical skills and an interest in gastroenterology.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients in an outpatient gastroenterology setting
• Obtain patient histories, perform physical examinations, and develop treatment plans
• Manage common gastrointestinal conditions and follow-up care
• Review laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic results
• Order appropriate testing and medications within scope of practice
• Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and procedures
• Coordinate care and communicate closely with physicians and clinical staff
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
• Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Current or eligible North Carolina PA license
• Current NCCPA certification
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and clinical decision-making skills
• Gastroenterology or outpatient experience preferred, but not required
