Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner

Full Job Description

• Evaluate and treat patients of all ages presenting with acute illness and minor injuries
• Perform procedures including laceration repair (suturing), splinting, incision and drainage, and foreign body removal
• Order and interpret on-site diagnostics including x-rays, EKGs, and point-of-care labs
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans appropriate to the urgent care setting
• Identify patients requiring a higher level of care and coordinate ER transfers when needed
• Document encounters accurately in our EMR, including CPT and ICD-10 coding
• Communicate clearly with patients and families, and coordinate follow-up with primary care

What We’re Looking For

• Current Michigan Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
• NCCPA certification (PA-C)
• BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred
• Urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care experience preferred, strong new graduates with relevant rotations will be considered
• Confidence with procedures (suturing, splinting) and x-ray interpretation
• Comfort seeing patients across the lifespan, including pediatrics
• EMR proficiency; telehealth experience a plus
• Excellent communication skills

Pay: $55.00 – $58.00 per hour
