Job Title: Advanced Practice Provider (NP / PA) – Interventional Pain Management
About the Role Pain & Vascular Institute is seeking a skilled, compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing clinical practice. Working closely alongside our supervising Physicians (MDs), you will evaluate complex patients, diagnose underlying conditions, and formulate tailored treatment plans to help patients manage pain and regain function.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Evaluations: Conduct comprehensive physical exams, history takes, and clinical assessments for new and returning clinic patients.
- Treatment Planning: Develop, implement, and adjust evidence-based treatment plans for spine, joint, musculoskeletal, and vascular-related pain conditions.
- MD Collaboration: Partner directly with supervising MDs to review complex cases, coordinate interventional procedures, and streamline continuity of care.
- Diagnostics & Interventions: Order and interpret diagnostic imaging (MRI, CT, X-ray) and labs; perform in-office joint/bursa injections or minor procedures as credentialed.
- Patient Education: Counsel patients on conservative therapy options, procedural risks/benefits, post-procedure recovery, and multi-modal pain strategies.
- Documentation: Maintain prompt, accurate medical records within the EMR system while adhering to controlled-substance management guidelines.
Qualifications
- Licensure & Certification: Active, unrestricted state license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, national board certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA), and active DEA registration.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of direct clinical experience in Interventional Pain Management, Neurosurgery, or Orthopedic Surgery (Required).
- Clinical Skills: Strong diagnostic acumen in musculoskeletal and neurological disorders, with confidence managing complex pain regimens.
