Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and vital sign monitoring, to establish accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements, ensuring safe and effective patient care.
  • Perform advanced procedures such as suturing, IV insertion, catheterization, spinal taps, and dermal filler injections to support diverse clinical needs.
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions across multiple specialties including emergency medicine, geriatrics, behavioral health, gastroenterology, infectious disease care, and hospice & palliative medicine.
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, and Athenahealth for precise medical documentation, order entry, and patient data management.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care plans and ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Engage in telehealth consultations to extend access to quality care remotely while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Participate in clinical research initiatives and utilize diagnostic tools such as sonography or laboratory testing to support evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

  • Valid state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with current certification from an accredited program.
  • Demonstrated experience working in high-acuity environments such as ICU, emergency room, trauma centers (Level I or II), or hospital medicine settings.
  • Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or similar platforms; experience with medical documentation is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Skilled in performing procedures such as suturing, phlebotomy, venipuncture, sterile processing techniques, and injection administration.
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics (children & toddlers), geriatrics (memory & dementia care), individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities.
  • Familiarity with CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), drug enforcement regulations (DEA), and utilization review processes.
  • Excellent client communication skills coupled with the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams in outpatient clinics or inpatient settings.
  • Critical care experience including ICU or acute pain management is highly desirable; additional expertise in occupational health or hospice is a plus.

Pay: $30,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
