Houston Upper Extremity Center is a new physician-owned Orthopaedic Surgery private practice in West Houston opening October 2026. We specialize in shoulder, elbow, hand, wrist, and peripheral nerve surgery.
We are hiring for our clinical team. This is a small private practice where you will have real involvement in how things run — not just another seat in a large system.
You will gain versatile skills and experience as you perform various roles working at a small practice.
Must have:
- Active Texas LMRT certificate, OR current listing on the Texas Medical Board Non-Certified Technician (NCT) registry
- Experience in an outpatient clinical setting
- Comfort with EMR documentation
What you’ll do:
- Perform upper extremity radiographs (hand, wrist, forearm, elbow, humerus, shoulder)
- Room patients and complete intake: vital signs, chief complaint, history, EMR entry
- Remove surgical dressings / sutures
- Apply splints and orthoses (we will train you to our standards)
- Prepare and assist with in-office procedures, including injections
- Maintain clinical inventory, splinting supplies, and X-ray QA logs
- Cross-train on front office functions
Strongly preferred:
- Orthopaedic, hand, or sports medicine clinic experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish

- $18–22/hour depending on credentials and experience

Schedule: Monday–Friday, day shift Work location: In person
Pay: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour

- How much experience do you have performing upper extremity X-rays (hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder)? – None – Less than 1 year – 1 to 3 years – More than 3 years
- Describe your experience with splinting or casting. If you have none, tell us about a clinical skill you learned on the job and how you got good at it.
- You must be able to reliably commute to the practice in West Houston / Memorial near I-10 and Beltway 8.
- Do you currently hold an active Texas LMRT certificate or are you listed on the Texas Medical Board NCT registry?
