Preferred Family Medicine is an established, physician-owned Direct Primary Care practice in Reno, Nevada. We are seeking an exceptional Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a modern primary care practice that is expanding through employer-sponsored healthcare partnerships while continuing to provide personalized, relationship-based care. The position will support our anticipated growth and provide additional provider capacity as our practice continues to expand.

Position Summary
We are looking for a compassionate, confident clinician who enjoys developing long-term relationships with patients while practicing the full spectrum of outpatient family medicine.
A significant portion of our growing patient population consists of young professionals, working families, and women of childbearing age. Experience or interest in women’s health, preventive medicine, contraception management, weight management, and caring for patients across all ages is highly desirable. This is a comprehensive Family Medicine position, not a women’s health specialty practice.
Responsibilities include:
- Preventive and wellness visits
- Acute care visits
- Chronic disease management
- Women’s health
- Pediatric care
- Behavioral health management
- Weight management
- Minor office procedures based on experience
- Collaboration with our physician team
Qualifications
Required:
- Licensed Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)
- Eligible for Nevada licensure
- DEA registration or eligibility
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
- Two or more years of outpatient Family Medicine experience
- Comfortable treating patients of all ages
- Experience or strong interest in women’s health
- Interest in lifestyle medicine and preventive care
- Comfortable using modern technology and AI documentation tools
