Orthopedic Surgery Physician Assistant / Surgical First Assist

About Us
Our center is a growing orthopedic and regenerative medicine practice focused on sports injuries, joint preservation, arthroscopy, biologic therapies, and minimally invasive orthopedic care. We are seeking an experienced and motivated orthopedic Physician Assistant or Surgical First Assist to help support operative and clinical care as the practice continues to expand.

Responsibilities
- Assist orthopedic surgeon in the operating room
- First assist during orthopedic surgical procedures including arthroscopy and general orthopedic cases
- Assist with patient positioning, sterile preparation, wound closure, and intraoperative support
- Perform clinic evaluations, postoperative visits, and follow-up care as needed
- Assist with injections and office-based procedures
- Help coordinate perioperative patient care and surgical workflow
- Maintain accurate documentation and communication with patients and staff
Preferred Experience
- Orthopedic surgery experience strongly preferred
- Experience with sports medicine and arthroscopy preferred
- Comfortable in outpatient surgery center environment
- Strong procedural and surgical assisting skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented setting
- Excellent bedside manner and professionalism
Position Structure
- Flexible schedule based on surgical volume
- Per-case or per-diem compensation structure available
- Opportunity for increased involvement as practice grows
- Combination of OR and limited clinic responsibilities depending on availability and experience
QualificationsFor Physician Assistants:
- Active Florida PA license
- NCCPA certification preferred
For Surgical First Assists:
- Appropriate certification and orthopedic OR experience required
