Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires strong observational skills, the ability to manage conflicts effectively, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols. The Security Officer will be responsible for monitoring premises, preventing loss, and ensuring compliance with security policies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor surveillance equipment and conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
• Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
• Manage conflicts effectively by employing de-escalation techniques and conflict resolution strategies.
• Enforce security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance among all individuals on-site.
• Provide assistance during emergencies by administering CPR and first aid as needed.
• Document incidents, observations, and activities in detailed reports for review by management.
• Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary to address security concerns or incidents.
• Conduct loss prevention measures to minimize theft or damage to property.

Qualifications

• North Carolina Security License is required
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in security or law enforcement is preferred.
• Proven experience in surveillance operations, conflict management, or related fields is advantageous.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
• Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert and focused during long shifts.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective reporting and interaction with others.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be physically fit to perform duties that may include standing for extended periods or responding quickly in emergencies.
