Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team, providing high-quality patient care across diverse clinical settings. In this role, you will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive medical services. Your expertise will support patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up care, ensuring optimal health outcomes. Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments, including vital signs and medical histories.
  • Assist in diagnostic evaluation by ordering and interpreting laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures.
  • Administer injections, medications, and treatments such as botulinum toxin therapy and wound suturing using aseptic techniques.
  • Manage acute pain and participate in emergency response activities, including airway management and ventilator support.
  • Document all patient interactions accurately within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
  • Participate in clinical research studies, data collection efforts, and clinical trials to advance medical knowledge.
  • Provide patient education on health coaching, medication management, disease prevention, and post-discharge care planning.

Experience

  • Proven experience working in hospital settings such as ICU, Emergency Room, Level I or Level II trauma centers, or critical care units.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems including Epic, Cerner, or similar platforms for medical records management.
  • Hands-on experience with procedures such as suturing, phlebotomy, catheterization (including cardiac catheterization), spinal taps, and dialysis access.
  • Background in acute care environments like urgent care clinics or outpatient clinics specializing in primary care or geriatrics.
  • Familiarity with coding systems such as CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 (International Classification of Diseases), and ICD coding for accurate documentation and billing.
  • Experience in specialized areas including infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, occupational health, neonatal ventilator management, or pediatric intensive care (PICU).
  • Knowledge of infection control protocols, radiation therapy procedures, nutritional support such as tube feeding or DME (Durable Medical Equipment), and post-acute or home care services.
  • Ability to perform physical examinations using anatomy knowledge and physiology understanding while adhering to aseptic techniques.

Pay: $117,966.41 – $142,067.06 per year
